Description

Wendy Luck, flutist and composer, recorded the original solo flute CD "The Ancient Key", inside the Great Pyramid. The music draws on many aspects of her musical background: classical, jazz, avant-garde, spiritual/healing, and non-western music, where unusual effects, new fingerings, harmonics, and non-standard concepts of pitch and scales come together to create new world music for the millennium. This recording utilizes the natural acoustics of the Great Pyramid - no studio effects have been added.

Artist Profile
Wendy Luck, flutist, vocalist, composer, improviser, received a BFA from the University of Wisconsin and Masters from New York University. Her wide array of artistic venues include performances of orchestral music at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Rome Festival Orchestra, Aspen Music Festival, Big Band music as lead vocalist/flutist in the Rainbow Room, Avant-garde jazz at NYC's Knitting Factory. Her journeys to Egypt have culminated in recording her own solo flute music inside the Great Pyramid. The newly released CD is entitled "The Ancient Key".
