Description

This is the Bob Hawkins Band's debut CD which brings forth a variety of musical styles which include country, rock, blues and folk. All compositions have a spiritual message or Christian theme. Nine of the eleven songs Bob wrote himself by God's Grace. The songs reflect snapshots of life, if you will, in an artistic fashion with recorded music as the medium by which it is delivered to the listener.

Artist Profile
The Bob Hawkins Band was formed in January of 2001. We grew out of a Christian house band, if you will, for an alternative church service called "3:30 LIVE!" in Orillia.

Bob Hawkins (vocals/guitar) has been writing Christian themed songs for quite some time and needed to get them out through a band format to those that would listen. Ron Hill (drums), is a long time friend since 1976. Ron and Bob have worked together in several bands and theatre productions over the years. Ron brings a diverse and dynamic energy to the band. His many contributions are priceless and greatly appreciated. Dave Devine (Bass/Vocals/guitar) Dave brings a passion for music to the band that pushes us all to do our best. His many talents, personality and heritage let him fill many rolls that help define the band.

Bob, Ron & Dave are the founding members of The Bob Hawkins Band. Josh Hawkins (vocals/guitar) joined the band to play guitar and sing. Josh brings the elements that only youth can give and this dimension is refreshing and balancing. Sarah Hawkins (vocals/percussion) adds even more youth to the band (at 19 years old). She plays percussion and sings and adds a girls touch to the group. Ted Duff (Organ) plays a hammond organ through a Leslie. This is a sound that Bob loves and we call it the Glue that holds the parts together. Ted is a very gifted and dedicated musician. Ted also covers vocals. Steve Lewis (guitar) is the newest member and brings multiple gifts to the group. He sings and plays guitar, mandolin and piano. Steve brings colours to the band that make us unique and defined.

The Bob Hawkins Band plays at churches, fundraisers & special events.
