Description
There are 15 strong tracks on the CD. Songs like "Jessie", "From the bottom of my heart" and "Every now & then" are good melodic rockers that remind one of JESSIE'S POWERTRIP and THE INNOCENT. The lead vocals of Phil somehow remind one of the lead vocalist of THE OUTFIELD, especially in the song "Equilibrium".
"I can't win" is a fantastic Power AOR Ballad like DAMN YANKEES. In the same direction is the fantastic semi-ballad "Is This What Love's All About" which was co-written by the guys of WALL OF SILENCE/THE WORKS. "I got a line" is a good melodic rocker that reminds one of CARL DIXON.
A good solid record of PHIL NARO and with an updated sound it should do fine among the melodic rockfans.
PHIL NARO has been plugging the power of his voice into New York State bar bands before he was even technically allowed in a bar. He spent the 1980's honing his skills and his sensibility in a series of solo and group albums and is ready to make his mark in the charts. A prolific and diverse songwriter and blesses with a voice so distinctive it leaves critics floundering for accurate analogies.
Phil Naro played and recorded with many acts, namely Talas [with Billy Sheehan of Mr Big] and with Peter Criss of Kiss. The album features members of Harem Scarem, Mr Big, Von Groo. Phil is currently wih the group D Drive.
