"Todd Harrold Band's Mr. Whatever showcases drummer Harrold in several lights---he's a fine funk drummer, clever songwriter, and...singer too, bringing Boz Scaggs to Mind." -February 2000 issue of Modern Drummer
"The Todd Harrold Band has also appeared in this column before, and Mr. Whatever is its fourth disc yet. Jazz and soul are the main ingredients for this 11-song set. If you enjoy the Michael McDonald era, Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan or Boz Scaggs, this should be right up your alley. There's a sophisticated sound. Best cuts are the sultry "Now You Know" and the expansive grooves of the title cut. There's also an upbeat version of the Doors' classic "Riders on the Storm." -Mick Skidmore, Relix Magazine
