Description

Apache is a mix of original material and standards. The title track, "Apache" was originally recorded by the English group The Shadows but it wasn't a hit in the United States until it was re-cut by Danish guitarist Jorgan Ingmann in 1961. This interpretation of this classic hit takes an improvisational approach and mixes musical genres to take it into the new millennium.

Richman/Johnson have been performing as a guitar duet for over 15 years. Collectively they have recorded and performed with artists including Manhattan Transfer, Alfonse Mouzon, Mark Isham, Hubert Laws, John Tesh, Rickie Lee Jones, Don Grusin and Julian Lennon.
