Artist Profile
Being exposed to many styles of music played an important role in Troy's early years. It was not uncommon to hear Nat "King" Cole, Marvin Gaye or Les Paul on the family console. But it was the soulful, rhythmic, passionate music of the '70s that spurred Troy's zeal to perform original material. Troy recalls, "Even though I had exposure to symphonic bands and music appreciation, it was not until high school that I seriously considered buying a guitar and pursuing my dream." Now with three albums under his belt, Troy looks back in retrospect, "It pays to stay focused. Who would have thought I would have recorded even one song!"
