If you grew up in Peoria in the 1980s and 1990s, chances are you spent at least a few weekends dancing the night away at the Stage 2 teen dance club on West Willow Knolls Road. The tagline read "The Trend Setter" and Stage 2 had it all - popular music, flashing lights, fog machines and a deep thumping base that made your chest vibrate. Eventually, the owners expanded their dance club empire to locations around Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin - but the Peoria location was the original and Peorians who partied there will never forget it.
