All tracks where carefully selected from albums "Projects I" till "Projects IV" to extract essence and ideas out of them to be the seed for this album. All music was recomposed and rearranged, freshening the music with new sounds and textures as well as new melodies and atmospheres.

Artist Profile
Back in 1986, Erez got his first analog, well, partially analog, synthesizer: a Roland Juno-106. Using an Atari 800XL and a music composing software, he began to compose and produce electronic music that bears some resemblance to Berlin School artists like Tangerine Dream, Chris Franke and Edgar Froese as well as European artists like Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis. Erez's music is a mixture of lush synthesizer pads, hard-beat sequences and strong melodies that create an atmosphere in which the listener's imagination is set free. Over the years, albums "Projects I" till "Projects V" have been produced.

During the course of 1991, together with a friend, Erez formed Omega, an electronic music band with music that in addition to bear the same touch as other works has strong lyrics, which were sung by a female singer with a beautiful voice. Of this venture, a debut album was produced. After a stop-period of five years, from 1994 till 1999, in which Erez attended other ventures, he had completely turned his home studio into a virtual studio, whereas everything is done within the realms of the computer and dumped almost all his outboard gear.

"Solar Voyages" marks his return to music composition and production to be followed by "Retrospective", which is a look-back at past projects and music, assembling the very best from those works, redoing them to fit the new times both from a personal aspect as well as a cultural one.
