Dan Brown's book "The Da Vinci Code" has become a literary phenomenon - it has spent over three years on the "New York Times" best-seller list, has been turned into a major motion picture (starring Tom Hanks and Sir Ian McKellan) that , and now the decoding continues. Inspired by the theories associated with the book, French producer Serge Mazeres created the project Da Vinci Vox as a means of delving further into the secrets of the "code". The music pairs grail lore themes with renaissance inspired instrumentation, like strings, synths, piano, trip-hop rhythms and Gregorian-style chant. The "vox" part of Da Vinci Vox likely comes from the inclusion of narration that is used as samples throughout the recording, usually tying into "Da Vinci Code" story points.
