Artist Profile
As a composer, producer, and recording artist, Michael Milazzo has created music which has won him an enthusiastic audience on his native Long Island.

His first CD "Mystical Haunts" in 1995, was featured as the score for "Target Earth", one of the many skyshows presented at the Vanderbilt Planetarium in Centerport, New York. Michael then demonstrated once again the artistic heights to which music composed with computer equipment can lead the imagination with a strong second release in 1997, titles "Music of Myth and Legend".

Michael is an entirely self-taught musician and composer. As a Long Island teenager, Michael wasn't interested in merely playing cover tunes in rock and roll bands. Instead, his involvement with the challenges of electronic music led him to create a uniquely innovative orchestral style. Drawing on such diverse inspirations as the Great Composers of Classical Music, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, and many Celtic influences such as Clannad, Altan and the music of Turlough O'Carolan, Michael continues to hone his talents for original sound creation and composition. Using both synthetic and sampled sounds, Michael creates a realm of experience and imagination that gives depth to the description "Mystical".

Beginning in 1982, and over the next ten years, Michael's small arsenal of electronic instruments grew to the point where he established his own recording studio, Fantasongs Music, where the two aforementioned CD's were created.

It is Michael's ambition to compose music that stirs both the heart and mind. Michael believes in the imagination as a powerful tool for both discovery and relaxation. As a result of his ability to blend melodies with rich and unusual sounds, Michael has won a loyal following of listeners who share his vision.
