"Smooth folk-rock with classic rock vocals and deep Clapton 'Unplugged' roots. These are semi-heavy songs of survival and loss, with hopeful messages and heartfelt sentiments." -ML-listen.com

Acoustic Thunder is Fremont John's first CD. Eight original and 4 classic tunes, show off John's flexible vocal style that can be very powerful, reminiscent of John Fogerty. There is a beautiful softer side, too. Soft or powerful, John is always very soulful. You'll find diverse arrangements ranging from a solo acoustic guitar instrumental 'Dirril's Daughter' to full band arrangements. Two cuts, 'I'm Gonna Tell On You' and 'Can't Reason Why' include horns.

Testimonials
"I've been enjoying the CD you sent. I know nothing about critiquing music except to say that I really enjoy this." -M. Olin

"I have been enjoying your CD and have shared it with a number of friends." -S. Moehoek

"Your new CD has become one of our favorites. We keep one in our changer and one in our car and listen just about every day. 'What Do You Hear' is really a special song. We think you should try to sell 'He's An Old Man Now' to Willie Nelson. It's a great song for him to sing." -T & S Snyder

Artist Profile
Fremont John has been playing the resort towns along the west coast of Michigan for many years developing a loyal fan base there. These days, he is a regular performer at The Bull & Whistle and Garden of Eden bars in Key West, Florida.

In late May '99, John was interviewed in "Paradise This Week," a Key West entertainment weekly publication. The article was headlined "Acoustic Thunder, No Bull". The nickname was inspired by the energy and power John puts into his performance.

During summer, 1999 John went back to Michigan where he played his old haunts. In anticipation of an upcoming Indie CD release, he started a promotional mailing list and signed up over 1000 fans!

In August, the recording of tracks for the CD, "Acoustic Thunder" was completed and the final product was released in late November, 1999.

John's program includes several of his original songs along with a wide range of blues and '60s & '70s classic rock cover tunes.
