Artist Profile
Deane Delli-Bovi is a 38 year old Long Island native who began his musical training at age 5. After 12 years of classical training on piano and music theory he left for the wilds of upstate NY. While majoring in music at the State University of N.Y. at Oswego he taught himself the art of bass playing. Immediately he became a much sought after commodity. His versatility and skill became apparent as he moved through groups and musical styles at will. When asked why he wouldn't prefer playing keyboards he'd reply, "I'm waiting for the technology". When the early monophonic synths came out, so did he. It wasn't long before the word got around. Disenchanted with the stuffy, lifeless, and arrogant nature of the university system, he hit the road for the usual stint of show groups. After a near death experience of the music business kind he went home and started his Piano Technician business. After nearly 20 years he is still a renegade with a great reputation. Still, his interest in music and technology continued. With MIDI and DAT recording a reality, albeit an expensive one, here he is again. Each recording seems to create it's own distinct musical atmosphere. So, sit back and explore, as Deane does, the very nature of the technological age and the emergence of some very talented and creative musicians. There will be many!
