Digitally recorded in stereo on location and in the studio, the listener is surrounded by the drama of the spoken narrative and sound. The music intensifies the bond between the boy and the whale and ultimately creates in the listener the need for the interdependence of human, animal and environment.

Minturn/Wine is a unique collaboration between the author, Judy Minturn, and the composer, Charlie Wine. Ms. Minturn is a highly regarded performer of her own work possessing a voice both rich with an actor's skill in character as well as the charm of a mother reading to her children. Her writing is entertaining and insightful. Mr. Wine is a composer of songs, concert and dance pieces and scores for broadcast television. His music is published by Stephen Stills Music and Smiling Eyes Music.
